As we are gearing towards a very exciting conference, we wish to bring to your
notice a few important changes:

(a) Credit Card Payment of the registration fees and fees for accompanying
persons: Please visit the webpage www.bose.res.in/~blackhole08/KOL-BH.html
for this. You just have to write a letter authorizing us to deduct 
the amount you want us to
deduct with your card number (visa/amex/master card). We must have your
exact signature, name, expiry date etc. Scanning your letter on your letterhead 
and attaching it to our address (blackhole08@bose.res.in) 
will do. Otherwise fax to 0091-33-2335-3477.

(b) The plan is that out of about 100 participants of the main programme
about 35 will stay back for the second programme which goes more
details into the interconnections among neutron stars, black holes
and GRBs (15th -17th Feb. 2008).

(c) For the 65 participants who leave the conference site of the
15th Feb, 2008 we are arranging a trip to the SundarBan, the Natural habitat
of the Royal Bengal Tiger by a small ship (with sleeping and audio-visual
arrangements). We can only accommodate about 40. So please register and book
FAST for this exciting trip. The trip ends at about 2pm on Matla River,
from which cars will transport the participants to Kolkata Airport
or downtown Kolkata (it will take about three hours). So by the evening
of the 16th, you should be at the Airport/Downtown. The whole trip including
staying in the ship at night and food will cost $25.00 only.

(d) For the 35 participants who stay back for the satellite meeting,
we will have a similar trip  exactly 24 hours later. So for them
the trip ends only on the 17th evening.

All these arrangements require your co-operation: Please register early, 
let us know your intention to make this conference totally successful. We hope
that the conference posters have arrived by now. Please display so that we may have more
younger colleagues attending.
