Dear Participants, (a) An almost final programme have been posted on the web under 'programme'. We have to see details of abstracts and fine tune. This is to see if all the 104 participants can fit within the situpated period of the main programme. If anyone has any clash please let us know. (b) We had to reduce time of almost all of the speakers since we have a very tight schedule and with excellent talks. We had to compomise in many ways, with poster session and some after dinner talks, reducing city tour time etc. (c) Every foreign member will require a valid visa. Please download 'additional' documents from the web page (registration page)and submit along with your visa application. These documents contain the fact that SNB is a Govt. organization and this conference is an approved conference by the Govt. of India. (d) Visa from Indian consulate is tough. They may require ten working days. I request that please apply for visa at the earliest. (26th Jan is the Republic Day, a holiday). (e) Please send us your arrival departure schedules as soon as they are finalized. We will pick you us from the airport from there. Those arriving early, and leaving late, we can organize accommodation at S.N. Bose Centre's Guest house. But we must know this before hand. (f)Domestic flights purchased by us using vending sites are much cheaper (generally $150 R/T between any two metros; Delhi-Kolkata being the cheapest). So please try for such a fare to save travel money, if needed. (g)The programme is very tight. Sundarban trip will start from 15th noon till 16th 1pm. Those who are leaving on the 16th evening (after 18 hours or so), there should be no problem for them to be at the trip. The cost is 25 USD. The cost of everything is included (this is only a token fee, we are spending more.) For any questions, comments, please get back to us. Sandip Chakrabarti
