Durga Paudyal


* Hi ! This is Durga Paudyal. Since July 2008, I am working as an assistant scientist at the Ames Laboratory U.S. Department of Energy operated by Iowa State University of Science and Technology. Our group leaders are Professor Karl A. Gschneidner, Jr. and Professor Vitalij K. Pecharsky. My research is related to the "Extraordinary Responsive Magnetic Rare Earth Materials". I was a Post Doctoral Research Associate in the same group and Laboratory during December 2004 to June 2008. I did my Post M. Sc. and Ph. D. from S. N. Bose National Center for Basic Sciences during August 1999 to November 2004. I submitted my Ph. D. thesis on November 30, 2004 to Jadavpur University and obtained Ph. D. degree on December 24, 2005. I worked with Dr. Tanusri Saha-Dasgupta and Professor Abhijit Mookerjee for my Ph. D. thesis. The title of my Ph. D. thesis is "Electronic, magnetic structure and phase stability in substitutional binary alloys: a theoretical study". I was an assistant lecturer at the Central Department of Physics in Tribhuvan University, Nepal during September 1995 to August 1999. I did my M. Sc. Physics from Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 1995.
