Years back, in 1959 at the American Physical Society's annual meeting, R. P. Feynman gave a
nice lecture, "There's Plenty of Room at the Bottom" , at Caltech. It was all about
to motivate researchers on a new field of physics: now a days which we call Nanoscience . To read it, you need not
to be a physics student!
Here is the PDF file of the lecture.

What is life? Is a big question for all time. Physicist
Erwin Schrdinger, started the way through his famous Dublin Lectures,
later which came out as a book WHAT IS LIFE? The Physical Aspect of the Living Cell in 1944, which stimulated biologists to think about genetics in a novel way, and in so
doing opened a new frontier of science, molecular biology.
Here you can find the beauty as PDF.
