Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Library
Members of both the Libraries can now borrow books from each other. The requisitioner of a book (at our end) will personally collect the book from the ISI Library, producing a formal request from the Librarian, SNB Library. Librarian, SNB Library will issue this letter based a requisition by the borrower in the prescribed form (Download). The borrower will be totally responsible for the safe keep of the book and will make good for the loss/damage caused, if any, as per the Rules & Regulations of ISI Library . He/she will be liable to pay overdue charges too.

Books can be identified from ISI Library Catalogue (OPAC) accessible through IP:202.54.54.148 or the library webpage (www.isical.ac.in/~library).
   
Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP) Library
The SNB-SINP Joint Library Users’ Card will be issued by the SNB Library to the its individual member who will be responsible for its safe custody and return to the Library after use.

A Card will be issued for a maximum of three days at a time. On expiry of the stipulated time, it may be renewed provided Cards are available/there is no advance booking.

Coupons for xeroxing of documents may be collected from the Library as per expected requirement and the necessary entries made in the register. He unused coupons should be returned promptly along with the Card.
   
British Council Library (BCL)
For using BCL as well as for borrowing materials Institutional Membership cards are to be produced. There are 6 cards viz., 5 (for books and journals) + 1 (for home video). Each card entails borrowing of 4 books and 3 journals (back volumes), the Home Video Card, two videos/DVDs (English movies). All the 5 cards put together will allow borrowing of 2 Educational & Training videos.

Each card allows borrowal for 21 days whereas for the home videos and the Educational & Training videos it is 7days only. Returns after the Date of Return attracts overdue charges.

Following are the Rules and Regulations:

1.All SNB Library Members are eligible to borrow the BCL cards.
2.Cards shall be issued to individual member on demand after filling up the appropriate form/register ( at the SNB Library) and for the number days as he/she states.
3.One card shall be reserved to meet urgent demand for a period of three days.
4.The card holder shall be totally responsible for loss/damage of card and materials borrowed.
5.Paying of overdue charges shall be the responsibility of the borrower.
6.The borrowers may go through the Rules and Regulations of the British Council Library before borrowing the cards, which are available at the SNB Library.
