About

ICONSAT (International Conference on Nano Science and Technology) is the series of biennial international conference held in India under the aegis of Nano Mission, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, that provides a global platform of interactions among eminent scientists to bring to fore the recent advances in the area of nanoscience and technology. This conferences series have earlier been hosted by premier national institutes like CeNS Bengaluru (2018), IISER-Pune (2016), INST Mohali (2014), ARCI Hyderabad (2012), IIT Bombay (2010), IIT Madras (2008), IIT Delhi (2006) and SINP Kolkata (2003). The Nano Mission, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, has approved the organization of ICONSAT–2020 by the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata for the year 2020.


Themes of the Conference

The Conference proposes to host several speakers from the academia, industrial sectors and young entrepreneurs from all over the world as delegates. It also aims to provide a potential platform for the young researchers and students from within the country and abroad to keep pace with the latest development in the emerging areas of Nano Science and Technology. An industrial session is proposed to be held for the entrepreneurs and start-up companies for enhanced industry academia interactions.

Technical Sessions

The conference will cover a variety of technical sessions : The plenary and keynote lectures will be delivered by the eminent senior scientist in the respective fields around the world. Invited talks will be delivered by scientists of high caliber of international repute who render commendable recent advancement in modern nanoscience and nanotechnology. Selected young researchers will be entitled for contributed oral talks. All other (including the students) will be encouraged to participate through poster presentation.

  • All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Program Committee according to the standard review procedures. Notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail by 3rd January, 2020

  • Registration fee payment (for accepted abstracts only) starts from 5th January to 15th February, 202018th February, 2020


Registration fee includes a copy of Conference Proceedings, Lunch and Dinner on Conference days and Invitation to Cultural Programme and Banquet.



Venue

The technical sessions of ICONSAT 2020 will be held in the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, New Town Kolkata. This is an exquisite and modern convention centre with excellent lecture halls, and presentation and refreshment area. The venue is located very close the Kolkata airport and has great ambience with many star quality hotels around. It is conveniently located with other parts of Kolkata allowing for convenient sight-seeing in leisure time. It is also located very close to the campus of S. N. Bose Centre and other premiere institutes/university allowing for convenient logistics and usage of those institutes’ guest house for accommodation.
