We are pleased to announce a National conference, Star Formation Studies in India’ during 8th -11th January, 2024 to be organized by the Department of Astrophysics and High Energy Physics of S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata. Worldwide star formation studies have seen a recent boost after thee advent of data from Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) and James Webb Space Telescope. The conference will focus on different aspects of star and planet formation that are being pursued in the country. A few broad topics of the conference are - (i) Molecular clouds and Interstellar medium, (ii) Star and Planet formation, (iii) Embedded Star Clusters, (iv) Extra-galactic star formation, and (v) Astronomical Instrumentation. The topics will include the science of observational and theoretical results related to star and planet formation.
