Q1. I am an external researcher, can I do an experiment using the laboratory facilities available at S. N. Bose centre?

Yes, you are most welcomed to our laboratory facility. However, you have to pay for it. Please visit Rates page to know the rate for each equipments.

Q2. How to make a payment?

Payment Method

Payment can be made in three ways: (i) Draft, (ii) Online Money Transfer( using Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking) (iii) National Electronic Fund Transfer (NEFT)

 

  • Draft should be in favour of S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences.

Q3. What happens, if I do not get data due to Instrument malfunctioning?

You can book a new slot or your money will be refunded.

Q4. Can I operate the Instrument Personally?

No. To save time and cost we have appointed well trained operators who will take the data and then data will be handed over to you.

Q5. If I pay the rates first, is it possible to get the data remotely?

Yes. If you send the money over a Draft, then we will send the data over email. You need not have to come personally for data collection There is no extra charge for this service.


 Note :

The analytical data / spectra are provided only for research / development purposes. These can not be used as certificates in legal disputes.

 

Service charges are payable at prevailing rates.

 

Samples, letter and payment should be sent in the same cover only. If Samples are received without covering letter/DD, the samples will be sent back to the user without any further intimation/notice. Separate Sample should be sent for different analysis. Samples are not analysed till Payment is received.

 

If you are sending samples for multiple Analysis. Please send seperate samplesfor each analysis.

 

Please send the samples in quantity as mentioned in the brochure. Samples are not recovered, unless a special request is made.

 

In all correspondence related to analysis of samples you may directly write to technical-cell@bose.res.in.

 

Radio -active material should be clearly mentioned and handed over personally.

 

Unstable and explosive compounds are not accepted for analysis.

 

Services are rendered to only those users who regularly give us feed -back about the and use of the result ,e.g. thesis, patent, process publication etc.

 

Research fellows and students are advised to send there application and samples through their Supervisor or Head of department.

 

Interpretation of spectra is not undertaken normally . In special cases this service can be provided on payment on extra charges .

 

If you want samples back Please inform to Technical Cell or mention in your letter. 
Kindly collect your samples back at the time of collecting your report. Samples which are not collected within a week from the date of report collected/sample analysis will be disposed of immediately without any further notice.

 

We do not provide any accommodation. You have to arrange on your own.
