"Noncommutative Geometry : Physical and Mathematical Aspects Of Quantum Space-Time and Matter"

A tribute to Professor Satyendra Nath Bose on his 125th birth anniversary

Dates: 27 - 30 November, 2018
Venue: S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, India
Bose 125

This international conference on "NONCOMMUTATIVE GEOMETRY : PHYSICAL AND MATHEMATICAL ASPECTS OF QUANTUM SPACE-TIME AND MATTER" is being organized by the S. N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata as a part of 125th birth anniversary celebration of the legendary physicist Satyendra Nath Bose, the originator of Bose-Einstein statistics, along with Einstein. Apart from this conference, several other conferences/workshops/outreach programmes are also being organized by the Centre throughout this year. This is an institute named after him. He was born in Calcutta (presently Kolkata, in West Bengal, India) in the year 1894 and this institute was founded in 1986. He formulated the Bose-Einstein statistics in the year 1924 while working at the University of Dhaka (formerly in East Bengal), Bangladesh.
